gallery BABA

The motive of masonry, which is present in the Baba neighbourhood and the district of Dejvice, forms the traditional solid basis of the BABA gallery design. Combined with a clean and simple shape and a thorough work with the terrain, the contrasting mass of the gallery is set on this foundation, forming a distinctive yet inconspicuous object that fits into the context of the surrounding buildings and urban connections, but draws attention to its importance. The composition and disposition of the buildings responds to the character of the surrounding buildings, spatial and movement connections in the locality and strengthens them. The individual premises of the buildings complement each other and thus create a strong local centre suitable for a number of uses, not only those specified.
