HOUSE FOR ADRIENA ŠIMOTOVÁ

Double house for sculptors Erna Masarovičová (work of Júlia Boháľová-left) and Adriena Šimotová (house on the right). The houses are connected by a wide staircase with landings as a gallery, which connects both the houses and the works of the sculptors for which the semi-detached house is designed. Through the work of Adriena Šimotová, a deep interest in people, the network of relationships and the symbolism of the human body permeated. As the complete opposite of Erna, her work seems very modest and delicate. Her work radiated peace and subtlety, and this was also transcribed into the final expression of my design. She experimented with different techniques, the most striking was definitely the layering and crumpling of paper, which is what inspired the from of the house.
