A HOUSE AS A TRIBUTE TO HUGO DEMARTINI

The house with a studio for artists in residence is intended as a tribute to Hugo Demartini and is inspired by his work. The structural plan allows the concept to be fulfilled to create a creative environment through the form of the house, composed of basic geometric shapes - prisms and a cylinder, in which a central staircase is placed. The resulting form expresses the dynamism so important and typical of Hugo Demartini's work. The setting of the house in the sloping terrain allows it to be partially recessed. A common gallery on the ground floor connects the two houses and also opens to the exterior. The two-storey studio allows the artist to create large-scale works.
