BAKLAVA WRAPPER

Goal: create a practical baklava package that contains smaller bite-sized pieces that can be eaten straight out of the box - minimizing handling of sticky and greasy baklava. The package includes a toothpick - to skewer the baklava. I designed a smaller package than is normally sold - enough for two smaller portions, sweet baklava is often left over. The baklava is cut into a shape based on Balkan carpet patterns. The graphics are based on traditional Balkan carpet patterns. I added a surprise to the packaging in the form of six proverbs from Balkan that await the customer on the inside of the box closure.
