Family house with an art studio

My main goals for this work were to create a design respectful of the existing architecture of Soběraz, while still making the space fell contemporary and fit for an artis with family. The location of the family house on the land adheres to the historical position of the house. The general mass of the home follows the typical forms of traditional countryside houses in the surroundings. The art studio on the other hand, is located in the lower side of the garden, which offers greater intimacy and views and its layout maximizes space for manipulation with furniture and canvases. The prominent element of the interior is the supporting core, that is bypassed on both floors. Another feature of the floor plan is a gallery on the 2nd floor, that opens up to the living area below.
