Discovering

My concept is inspired by human imagination and the desire to explore. In the forest, I focused on the area around the first two ponds, which are primarily known from the cycling path. However, the forest hides many hidden corners and viewpoints that I wanted to introduce to people to entice them to explore. Each place was complemented with elements that fit and can be utilized, so everyone could find their favorite spot and want to return. The historical reinforced concrete structure at the edge of the forest intrigued me with its mystery and gradual decay. This former kaolin washing plant is now in a damaged state, and the surrounding area is overgrown with trees. My goal was to restore the site, preserve the structure, and give it a new function for rest and discovery.
