Ophelia´s Pavillon

Annotation
This project is dedicated to Shakespeare's Ophelia. Her theme reacts to the context of the Nusel Bridge, the scene of many suicides. At first glance, the memorials´ form is strongly geometric because of the intended motif of fracture and fragmentation ("the breaking of the human soul"). Another idea is the descent, both metaphorically - the decline of the human will to live, and literally - drowning, jumping off a bridge. Both parts of the project are studies of the same geometric "fragmented" system in different spatial possibilities. In the first, the descent is gentle due to the elongated site, while the second part is much steeper and the structure is vertical. The second monument contains interior spaces that could provide space for a small café or a possible thematic exhibition.
