Silence

A structure inspired by the biblical image of the Pietà after the Crucifixion represents a transition from noise and chaos to absolute peace and silence. The exterior of the building is designed with a double colonnade, whose dimensions and arrangement evoke the commotion and unrest of the outside world. This noise and chaos gradually subside as the visitor ascends the main staircase into the interior spaces. The shape and dimensions of the staircase reference the Casa Malaparte. The dominant feature of the interior is a candle altar, serving as a place for contemplation and worship.
