Ambit Gallery

The theme of infinity was incorporated into our design via the arrangement of exhibition spaces, which evoke specific emotions in a person visiting them. The main idea was to create a long one-way path that begins and ends in the same place. The exhibition spaces are therefore designed as a circular "corridor" running through three floors. The direction of the path is indicated by light from skylights and atriums, whose height spans all the floors. To make the function and outside boundaries of the building unclear, the entire gallery is located under the ground, with only the café, atrium roofs, skylights, and entrance building visible above the surface. Between them, a space is created that can be used as a café terrace, an outdoor exhibition area, or a venue for various events.
