Nominations of ATBS student projects for the competition show Druhá kůže 2022-2023 are now closed. Nominations of up to three ATBS projects that meet the conditions of the competition show, developed in LS 2021/2022 and ZS 2022/2023, should be sent by the studio heads by e-mail to the competition secretary Jana Kubcová (and a copy to the nominated students).

A house like a second skin. The competition show will award designs for residential buildings

The Faculty of Architecture of the CTU announces the eleventh year of the Druhá kůže competition. The competition is open to students of the Bachelor's degree programme enrolled in the winter semester 2022/2023 or summer semester 2021/2022 in the Atelier of Residential Building (ATBS). The projects are proposed by the heads of the studios and the deadline for nominations is 10. 2. 2023.
Druhá kůže aims to present different approaches to the design of buildings for housing, to contribute to the reflection on studio teaching and to the discussion on the methodology of designing residential buildings. The submitted projects are presented in the competition proceedings, at the exhibition and on the FA website. In addition, the awarded students will share a financial reward.
Teachers of the Studio of Residential Building can nominate up to three projects created under their supervision until 10 February. The projects will be evaluated by a jury of external experts, this year comprising architects Luboš Klabík, Jaroslav Šafer and architect Janica Šipulová, who will be complemented by the teachers from the FA.
The vernissage connected with the announcement of the winning projects will take place on 2 March at 6 pm on the ground floor of the FA. Detailed information about the competition show can be found on the Druhá kůže website.
