The main aim of the project is creating new recipes for silicon carbide briquettes bonded with cement, which should improve not only their physical and material characteristics defined foundry industry for which these products are primarily intended, but also should increase their utility properties during production and subsequent manipulation by innovation of the technological process of production. New recipes should be able to show superior properties compared to the reference formulation (the current production on the market), while also lower the energy consumption and environmental load on the production of mixture per unit amount. The project will create a new product and its subsequent production, which is directed primarily at foreign European market.

The mail aim of the project is research and development of new recipe of fillers with silicon carbide and artificial corundum intended for floor with high operating loads. Inovated dry mixtures should be able to improve materials characteristics of industrial floors compared to the reference products, which are currently on the market. The aim of the project is also increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of operation using waste material (minimization of waste production) as well as reduce the environmental load by using secondary material. The project resulted in a new product, which is designed for both interior and exterior concrete surface construction usable in many kinds of operation.

A lot of buildings reduce their protection due to negative environmental conditions impacted directly to the surface layers, which can lead to its deterioration of structures. The aim of this project is analysed hydrophobic properties of plaster and surface layer of concrete after expose long term simulation of external conditions. Probably the most important factors affecting the material degradation represent sun (heat, UV radiation...), air (carbon dioxide) and water (rain, snowfalls, ice and the associated problems with salts), which penetrates into the structure materials. Therefore the work is focus at determined hydrophobic parameters and their changes. Important part of project is evaluation of the results before and after exposure to natural conditions. The main practical impact of the project will be in exactly knowing life service of the surface layers and possibility of prolong time between its repairs.

The greater requirements for knowledge of the composition, properties and behavior of existing and new material are demanded. Liveness and durability of plaster mixture is in the large part directly influenced by physico-chemical processes taking place in the initial stage of setting and hardening of mixture. Hydration process of lime mixture is an important milestone in creating plaster. At this stage there are formed crystalline hydrations products, which has significantly affect on the final properties of lime binders. Analysis of substances in any state shall be assured by infrared spectroscopy method. It is an analytical method designed especially for identification and structural characterization of organic compounds and for determination of inorganic substances, particularly in the branch of binders and materials used in their preparation. The significance of this whole work is to complete a comprehensive view of properties and bahaviour of the lime-pozzolana plasters modified
