doc. PhDr. Jana Tichá, Ph.D.

Architecture theorist and critic, specialized in modern and contemporary architecture with focus on the relationship of architecture and landscape. Her other interests include crossection of architecture and the visual arts. Editor-in-chief of Zlaty rez, Publishers for Architecture, as well as eponymous magazine. Translator and editor of anthologies of architecture theory. Author of several books, among them PRG 2021 / contemporary architecture of Prague, (2007, with Irena Fialová), or Martin Rajniš: Přirozená architektura / Natural Architecture (2008, with Irena Fialová), the most recent being Prostor a místo: Architektura na území České republiky 1989-2014 (Space and Place: Architecture in the Czech Republic 1989-2014, in Czech only). Together with Martin Rajniš and Irena Fialová author of the exhibition of Czech Republic at the 12th Biennale of Architecture in Venice 2010. Expert of EU Award for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Award since 2013. Her teaching experience includes founding and leading the English-language course Czech 20th Century Architecture at the UMPRUM Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (2003-2016), since 2015 member of the faculty at FA CVUT.
