TURNOV´S RIVERBANKS

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of conversion and restoration of an industrial area on the edge of the historical centre of Turnov. In the introductory analyses, I also deal with the topic of the Jizera River and the impenetrability of the area along its banks. In my work, I then focus on the industrial complex, which is located on one of the inaccessible banks - I deal with the conversion of specific historical buildings in the complex, as well as its completion with apartment buildings. From an urban planning point of view, I am creating new spaces, an embankment and connecting the two banks of the Jizera River, which I am giving sufficient attractiveness and accessibility.
