LITOMYŠL - MAIN ROAD

The diploma thesis deals with the draft of the transformation of the main road in Litomyšl and its surroundings, which was built in the 80s of the 20th century and with its high intensity of traffic, which became a barrier that divided the city into two segregated parts. A new opportunity has now arisen for the city to work with this area, as in the relatively near future a highway will be built parallel to the main road and will take over the majority of transit traffic. The project explores the possibilities of transforming this area into a city linear park, used for resting and recreation. The main goal of the city park is to return back the area, which was destroyed by traffic to the city and to connect separate and poorly accessible places.
