The CTU Laboratories, Prague 6

The task to build The CTU Laboratories will be on the site between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and The University Canteen (being reconstructed as the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics) buildings, where current laboratories are now located. The volume solution and urban planning should complement the historical context of the university campus and also take adjacent new projects into consideration. The CTU Laboratories include enough room for different faculties' research teams, the interaction of inter-disciplinary teams, as well as other related service, storage and office rooms. I designed a four-storey house which is connected to the current Faculties´ building. The offices and laboratories are logically interconnected.
