REVITALISATION OF THE RIVER LANDSCAPE IN PÍSEK - RESTORATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE RIVER

The diploma thesis deals with the revitalization of the river landscape in Písek. Over the years, the development and use of the river have undergone many changes that have transformed the riverbank very insensitively. As a result, the natural axis has become a significant spatial barrier in the city center. In my work, I explore the possibilities of utilizing the river as a green circuit running through the city and transitioning from an urban to a natural landscape. I aim to demonstrate the potential transformation of the river area in a way that brings life back to it and restores its natural connection to the rest of the city and the surrounding countryside.
