SENIOR HOUSING

On a plot of land in the new centre of Březina, a village in the Brno-venkov district, I have designed a retirement home with day care services for the elderly. The height of the building is adapted to its purpose and the building design makes maximum use of the morphology of the terrain. On the southwest side, adjacent to the dominant fire station, there are three floors with flats for the elderly. The side of the building facing the open countryside is only one or two storeys high, so as not to interfere with the look of the village as a settlement surrounded by greenery. This part of the building houses nursing services and a common dining facility. The main construction material are cross-laminated timber panels. The wooden slats on the façade line up with these. materials.
