DEVELOPMENT OF NÁCHOD

The thesis deals with the development of the city of Náchod in relation to the landscape, which it addresses on two levels. In the first part, using general analyses of surroundings, it defines a critical place for the development of the city. Then, in the next part, it focuses on the specific vision of the defined area, which became the “sídliště u nemocnice” housing estate. At this level, the proposal is mainly concerned with defining the interface between the city and the landscape, creating a local identity for this segregated area and the overall cultivation of public spaces. The aim is to propose measures that will promote the harmonious development of Náchod and improve its relationship with the surrounding landscape.
