Completing the Urban Block - Housing Klárov

The subject of the work is the design of a new building on the Kosárkové nábřeží, which would complete and supplement the existing historical development. The new building is supposed to replace a building with insufficient capacity. The main priority of the proposal is to create a modern building that would respect the existing historical surroundings. There is a small gallery on the ground floor of the building. The upper floors are residential. The facades and roof of the building are filled with ceramic tiles. The windows have a chaotic placement. Such a solution and also the face of the building evokes a resemblance to a sculpture. In this way, the modern construction materially respects the surroundings and forms a part of the historic city.
