Bc. Kristýna Marková

Architecture and Urbanism, MA diploma project

Annotation

This project reflects modern approach tendencies to a monastic life. Its main purpose is to connect the monastic and secular life to fulfill the primary function of monasteries – to help. The project focuses especially on the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross (a Catholic congregation of religious sisters), who dedicate themselves to help ill and indigent people. In this case the whole concept aims particularly at people suffering so called burnout syndrome. The sisters devote their lives to encourage such people to find energy and to develop positive attitude to their lives.
