Residential Building

The residential building on Žižkov is part of a newly designed block. It is a terraced apartment building, oriented north-south (street facade). The building plot was created by the demolition of a historic block during the reconstruction of Žižkov (1970/80), but unlike the neighboring panel housing estate, it was not built up. The assignment is based on the regulation of the block within the school design. The aim of the solution is a volumetrically balanced apartment building in the context of Žižkov while fulfilling the conditions of the school assignment and the floor plan connection of all floors. The apartment building does not have a public ground floor, an atypical apartment is located on the ground floor. There are 2-3 apartments on each of the other six above-ground floors. The last two apartments are set back and have terraces across the entire width of the house.
