Olomouc city centre - south

This project is concerned with the completion of Olomouc City Centre – South with regard to the plans proposed by Camille Sitte and the nature of urbanistic complex of the city centre itself. It is proposed that the area should be enhanced according to Sitte’s plans through the addition of a public library. Therefore, the subject of the detailed design is the concept of a new building for Research Library in Olomouc, which aims to expand library’s current structure by providing a new place focused on its common users. The new library building would be situated on the city owned lot, which was previously used as a bus station and is located between the streets Polska and trida Svobody.
