REVITALISATION OF SMRČÍ DVŮR

I was looking for a theme that was close to nature, somehow based on it and could be related to it. The set of farm yards of the Teplá monastery became the ideal answer to my search. In the analytical part, I deal with the history of agriculture, the development of the typology of farm buildings, and the Teplá Monastery and its farmyards. For the subsequent design part I chose one of the seven courts, the Smrčí dvůr, and the outcome of the pre-diploma seminar was to find a new suitable function for such a specific type of building in a beautiful, isolated location. For Smrčí dvůr, I propose a therapeutic community with a smaller farm converted to its current form of agriculture.
