Annotation

Velké Popovice is a small town in Central Bohemia, renowned for its beer production and as the home of the popular Kozel brand. Right in front of the brewery lies a spacious undeveloped area with the potential to become the heart of the community. Over time, the center of the town has shifted from its original location between the church, former town hall, and school towards the brewery. My proposal explores potential solutions for utilizing the large buildable area. The square takes shape between two new buildings and publick park. One serves as the new municipal office, as the town currently lacks its own dedicated building, and the other functions as a cultural center with a self-service store. The artistic representation of the solution features raw concrete mass combined with a lightweight structure adorned with perforated corten steel.
