SADSKÁ SPA - RESTORATION OF THE SPA LANDSCAPE

Čermáková Aneta

Landscape Architecture, MA diploma project

Annotation

The town of Sadská is situated in the Central Bohemian Region northeast of Prague. In history it played an important role at the court of Czech princes and subsequently played a spa role. W. A. Mozart was one of the guests of the spa at that time. However, as a result of World War II, the spa disappeared and with it the main functions of the town. This work uncovers the forgotten spa potential of the town and breathes new life into it. The proposal explores a form of therapeutic landscape use within the wider context of the site, with subsequent detailed focus on the key spa points of the area.
