What should a modern women's prison look like in order to truly fulfill its purpose - resocialization, not just isolation? It should be designed to promote psychological well-being, provide plenty of natural light, greenery and safe community spaces where female prisoners can learn and work. Architecture should not only punish, but also motivate change - can the environment affect the future of those who spend years of their lives in it?
