This paper discusses the possibility of rooftop settlement from the point of view of its evolution, current tendencies and technologies. It reinterprets the thought of use of these areas as a solution for problems with urbanization, city growth or housing crisis. It concerns with the idea of life on rooftops as a second layer of a city.
