The primary school in Palmovka

The site is situated in Prague-Libeň-Palmovka. The composition is respectful to the building of the old school in the front and divides the site into two yards (courts). The southern one is public and the northern one is flanked by a fence, so that it is a private area for pupils with a large multifunctional playground. The structure is skeleton. The core of the school is central entrance hall with galleries on the upper floors and the grand staircase that provides audience seating with the view of the forecourt. The core is covered with the glass facade which allows the morning sunlight to shine throughout the building to the northern yard.
