New multipurpose building extension of the F.X.Šalda theatre

The completion of the F. X. Šalda Theater is located on a plot in the middle of a busy crossroads. It connects to the existing theater with a connecting bridge on the 5th floor. The main idea of the design was to return to the roots of the theater. In the 19th century, when the city of Liberec was experiencing the golden era of textile, the theater of F. X. Šalda was built. The design is a reference to this period and the shape of the building, reminiscent of a tulle ballet skirt, pays homage to this unique era, which has already disappeared from the city.
