NEW PARLIAMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The content of the master thesis is to find all the input data and the following design of the new parliament building of the Czech Republic. Part of the thesis is analysis of the government buildings‘ history, the Czech parliamentary system‘s development and the current form of the Czech Parliament. The thesis discusses examples from abroad, factors that should be considered within the design, building program and the new strategic location. The aim of the thesis is to design a representative and clearly defined building with easy internal orientation. The new building should effectively represent democratic ideals and reflect openness and transparency.
