The 3D printable bus stop in Kladno is the project of a shelter printed out of concrete. The development of this design proves that there is an untapped potential in quickly building multiple different variations of the shelter by simply changing the script in software. The shelter is in organic form to take full advantage of the material and create unusual image of the bus stop. Furthermore, the openness of the shelter varies from open area for sunlight to completely enclosed providing more shade. The bus stop reminds a sculpture – it serves not only function, but also creates experience by evoking emotional response.
