Elementary school and teacher housing Holešovice
Annotation
Design of a primary school and teacher flats in the Bubny-Zátory development area in Prague 7. The school program includes 2x9 classrooms (540 children), a dining room, two gyms and a school group. The basement connects the school with an apartment building with twelve flats (2 rooms apt. / 3 rooms apt.). The spatial solution is a response to the neighboring building of the business academy and at the same time complements the existing apartment buildings into a compact block. A transformed exhaust from the metro passes through the layout of the school in a current footprint. With regard to the quality of the indoor environment and climate protection, it is structurally a wooden building made of glued beams in a module of 4.2 meters in all directions.
