The roof spaces represent a large territorial reserve. In times of decreasing extravillain areas, extensions are a possible solution to elegantly offer living spaces. The work is based on the project of initialization and regulation of roof extensions in Prague by architect Jitka Rumlová. The proposed extension to the Parallel Polis building in Holešovice is a form, a stamp, a dichotomy, a contrast to the original building. The original facade removes the mass, the new facade adds the mass. The original plaster is painted anthracite, the new thick-layer plaster is painted gray-white. This differentiates the new from the original while maintaining mutual tectonic continuity. The extension does not try to compete, but to support while creating a new clean minimal modern version of the house.
