Cultural house Veselí nad Lužnicí

The task was to transform the Cultural House in Veselí nad Lužnicí into a Community Center. The original building was designed by Karel Prager, who inspired me to the design of the extension. The aluminum slats on the extension part are bevelled as are Prager's windows on the culture house. And the entire mass of the extension resembles the New Stage of the National Theater. In the design, the current building was reoriented and the main entrance was designed from the west side, which is connected to the footbridge and the square. One central entrance and communication space was also the goal of the project, as the current building lacks it. An important topic of the project was also to create a pleasant living space around the building.
