My name is Marie Smetanová and I welcome you to my term paper in the summer semester in 2021. This semester I designed a tree stand. I wanted to solve the problem of forgotten gifts under the tree, near the stand, where they are easily lost in the dark. Next, I wanted to create an effect using light. I created a stand that is stable, luminous, light-scattering in shape, user-friendly and easy to handle when attaching the tree to the stand. I worked with two materials that create a gap and allow light to penetrate in two directions. The stand illuminates the tree, but also shines on the gifts around it.
