VELESLAVÍN - CULTURAL HOUSE

Veleslavin is a rapidly developing part of Prague, where the historic center is in close contact with the busy transport hub Nadrazi Veleslavin, the industry, unrestrained development buildings or a car showroom. In the whole area there is missing a cultural centrum, a cafe, or any building for recreation of the inhabitants. With my project I would like to support this part of Prague by designing a cultural house with a ballroom, a cafe, and a space for children’s hobby groups. For this house I chose a place in the original village area in the heart of Veleslavin. The mass of my building takes over the form of the surrounding buildings and the floor plan copies the former house. The outdoor space is bordered by a high rock, which provides a wonderful view.
