DAVLE - MONASTERY GUEST HOUSE

The monastery is situated on the entire territory of the island of St. Kilian near Davle on the Vltava River, south of the capital city Prague. I designed the monastery as part of the nature. The buildings consist of reinforced concrete circular slabs and walls with wood paneling between them. On the facade, wooden prisms serve as shading elements, as railings and in the meantime help to create a uniform shape of the building.
