turbine tower- vertical farm

Bc. Tomáš Chrástecký

Annotation

The idea is to create a structure providing sufficient food to areas with rapidly evolving populations in areas with water scarcity. The solution consists of two parts, first being a vertical hydroponic farm, which uses up to 95% less water compared to conventional one. The problem with this type of cultivation is its energy demand and associated carbon footprint. The solution to the problem lies in combining that type of cultivation with a turbine tower, the source of which is the air, heated under a large collector by the sun and converted into electricity by means of a chimney effect. Although the area of the collector may seem enormous, it is redeemed by a function located inside the chimney, a farm whose growing area is approximately five times higher relative to that of the collector.
