The task was to adapt building to a new community center. There are two buildings on the plot, the existing student dormitory with a capacity of 38 beds and a house of services with a mixed function. Looking at the situation of close relations, there are certain problem areas such as: not connected student dormitory to the surroundings, which was primarily to be demolished, valuable public space, neglected spaces and passages, non-functional staircase and especially the untapped potential of the construction scale. An primary solution within the design was to preserve the character of the existing building.
