Art School Mělník

The aim of the project was to create a pleasant and safe environment for students, where they can spend time with their peers in activities that they enjoy and inspire each other in artistic creation. At the same time also create comfortable conditions for employees and teachers. The land is located in the historic center of Mělník in Tyršova Street, in the vicinity there is a sokolovna, schools, commercial premises and a park. The layout of the house is divided into three tracts and has four floors. On the first underground floor there is a dance and concert hall, where students can show on stage what they've learnt in front of all their loved ones. The classrooms are located around the atrium above the residential staircase, which is in the middle tract.
