ON THE TRACK, BELOW THE TRACK

Apartments in Karlín on the track. Cable car under the track. The goal is to find a forgotten place by the railway line and bring it back to life. Vítkov is currently not accessible from the Karlín, so it is my effort to create a connection. The axis of the street divides the building into two masses with a public ground floor and apartments, in the middle of which is a cable car. The vertically stuccoed plaster on the facade refers to materials used on historic buildings in the area. It is an attempt to return to history converted into a modern building. The space is created with respect for the area of ​​observance of the vistas, the recessed floor and the expression of the facades.
