Elementary school Šmukýřka

The smallest railway stop in Prague? Cibulka station on the Prague Semmering line! And almost right next to it is an abandoned football field that is crying out for revival or rehabilitation. Given the lack of elementary schools in Košíře and the layout of the site, I decided that the function of an elementary school would be appropriate for the site. The primary school is situated between two garden towns created around the estates of Cibulka and Šmukýřka. The dwellings in the vicinity have a repeating polygonal layout with a courtyard in the centre. I have therefore preserved this urban concept. The terraced stepping of the building responds to the slope while respecting the surrounding greenery. The building thus flows between two adjacent forests.
