Manalion

Manalion - a pavilion for manatees - is situated in the eastern part of the ZOO in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. It is a part that was not used before and now new pavilions are being built here. The pavilion has a specific shape of a circular sector, which allows easy continuity between the existing amphitheatre and the planned hyena paddock. The building is two-storeyed, allowing visitors to view the manatees either from above or to descend to the ground floor where they can come face to face with the manatees. Another specific feature is that the entire front facade is glass and is also lined with a pedestrian route from which it is possible to observe what is happening inside the pavilion from the outside.
