Restoration of a house in Slavonice

Anna Hejduková

Annotation

The subject of this desing is the restoration of a town house in Slavonice, located in the historic core of this town. It is a Gothic house with a Renaissance facade. It is sub-basement with two levels of cellars. It has two ground floors and a spacious attic. It is L-shaped in plan, which creates space for a backyard with a passage to the church. The design consists in the smallest possible interventions in the existing constructions. Most of the windows and doors are assessed to be insufficient, so they will be replaced with new wooden ones. The remaining windows and doors will be refurbished. The design envisages minor layout changes to provide space for a shop and two residential units.
