The craft center Josefov

Josefov – a fortress town still waiting for its opportunity. In my design I deal with Bastion XI, where I create a new facility providing education in crafts through workshops and lectures. The main artistic and aesthetic motive is the preservation of arched constructions and the generosity of space. It was important for me to preserve the character of the original building and support its authenticity and qualities. I transfer the generosity of the space to the attic, which was never actively used and create there new modern spaces, clearly noticeable from the exterior.
