Quarters

The study is the result of an effort to revitalize the town by sensitively inserting functions into the dilapidated cavalry barracks called Čtvercáky. The building combines commercial, cultural and residential functions. It houses a primary art school with a gallery, a library with an archive, a hotel, shops, a cultural hall, a fitness centre and a gym. The functions are placed not only in the volume of the historic building, but also in two masses which are inserted in the courtyard, next to a park. Under which is a two story parking. The entrance is connected to Okružní Street, the exit is through staircases leading to the park.
