Maria Charousková Community Center

In 1968, a young student of the Czech Technical University in Klárov was crossing the park with the intention of changing to the tram. Unfortunately, she was shot and without reason by one of the group of Soviet soldiers standing nearby. There was a doctor on the scene who immediately gave her first aid, but she succumbed to her severe injuries after being taken to the hospital. She left behind her husband Vladimir and a two-year-old son. This work is not about the victims of the occupation, but about those who are already carrying a difficult situation on their shoulders. Therefore, to improve it, I propose a community center with an asylum for all the needy in difficult situations. It will provide temporary or permanent housing, counseling, assistance and support from social workers.
