Buckle for 4 point harness

BcA. Martin Boukal

Annotation

This semester I worked on a buckle for multi-point seatbelt harness. The aim was to leave the main function of the buckle itself, but also to focus on the aesthetic side of incorporating it into the interior of the car and the exploration of a different from the traditional unfastening solution, both mechanically and ergonomically. The final design of the buckle has a rotating body with five belt buckle holes. The buckle is opened by unfolding or turning the head, so it is a simple and quick solution to unlocking the buckle. The esthetics were designed with the sports car interiors in mind, the place for what this buckle was designed for.
