Pottery Homestead - Bažantnice u Loukova

The project consists in the restoration of the former hunting palace complex of Bažantnice u Loukova into a residence and extensive workshop complex for a master potter. An atelier building is constructed on the footprint of one of the old barns, with indoor and covered outdoor production areas. A wood fired kiln is designed to be placed within the existing walls of one of the former barns, and a connection is established to and from the workshop building through the joining of the roofs to facilitate transport and maximum efficacy between areas.
