APARTMENT BUILDING ALLEY – OSTRAVA!!!

The Apartment building is part of the newly developing city district Pod Žofinkou in Ostrava. The cascade-like look of the coplex is unique due to the access of views to the south and to the nearby park. The whole section of houses is connected through the underground parking system with straight connection to the residental communications of the house. The ground floor is maily reserved for the comercial spaces, while the top sixth floor is reserved for recreational use of inhabitants. The facade is influenced by the historical context of the mining city, which is filled with scattered industrial buildings. It uses materials such as bricks and steel and translates them into a new form.
